Hello beautiful
This morning, while running on the treadmill, I tuned into a podcast on happiness, and one quote by the Dalai Lama really struck me: "Love is not a feeling, it's a decision".
Not a choice, but a decision.
That one word makes all the difference. Decisions feel definitive, firm whereas choices seem more like options that can shift. This got me thinking about where in life I have kept my options open and where I’ve made clear, intentional decisions.
My values continue to evolve as I grow, but they’re also a grounding force that I feel deeply aligned with—something I am unwavering in. These values are my guidance system, ensuring that my energy, attention, and growth are directed toward what truly matters to me.
It can feel risky and vulnerable to realize that we are only one decision away from our current life being turned upside down. As a wife, mother, and in all my relationships, this truth resonates deeply. One conversation, one realization can shift the direction of our relationships entirely. One person may decide to move on, accept a job offer that’s miles away, or form a connection with someone else that they want to pursue. And here’s the hard part—these external decisions impact our own, and they're often beyond our control.
In moments like these, I believe we are all here to help each other process and heal. The way others' decisions ripple into our lives is part of a larger journey, one where we grow, learn, and ultimately support each other through life’s changes. What we can control is how we respond, how we choose to show up, and where we decide to place our energy.
I realized that my marriage is a decision. The way I choose to respond to life is a decision. How I care for myself and others, it’s all a decision.
When I reflect on what indecision feels like, I see it as being stuck in a place of option overload—a way to avoid fully claiming and taking ownership of the quality and standard of my life. Indecision often leaves us dancing around choices that don’t quite align with our true desires. What decisions have you made lately? Have they been conscious and wholehearted, or are you simply doing what you think you should?
I guess decisions define the quality of our lives.
When we claim them fully, they are no longer choices; they are a commitment to the life we want to live.
One decisive moment can create the clarity to transform your life.
DECIDE IT WILL!
With love,
