We’re busy. Distracted. Trying to keep the plates spinning. So we become experts at giving the highlight reel. The efficient version. The socially acceptable version. The version that says, “Don’t worry about me.” But beneath all of that… I think every human being is quietly asking the same question: “Is there anywhere I can arrive exactly as I am?”

We spent over $800 on theatre tickets. Worth every cent. Not because the show was extraordinary. Because the row we were sitting in was- four siblings and our Mum and Dad. Different states. I had one of those conversations recently that stays with you long after it’s finished. A beautiful friend and I were having a bathhouse catch-up when she asked me a question no one had ever really asked before. She said, “I want to know more about who you were before marriage and before kids. Tell me about the significant relationships in your life. I feel like they’ll tell me a lot about who you are.”
