Are "busy" and "drained" the same thing? I'm not convinced they are...

Hello beautiful,
My current life is basically kilometres.
Car. Classes. Activities. Home. Car again. Voice notes from car parks. Snacks handed over mid-door-opening. Repeat.
I’m either driving somewhere, driving back from somewhere, or trying to remember what I came into the kitchen for.
The washing basket is undefeated. Food prep comes in brief, slightly chaotic bursts of hope. And anything that resembles quiet or movement for me usually starts at 5am.
It’s a lot. Like, it is a lot!
But here’s what I keep noticing. This season is full. And weirdly, it feels filling.
Not because it’s easy. Not because I’ve got it sorted. Not because life is running smoothly and aesthetically pleasing. But because what’s filling it, matters.
It’s the stuff I’ve chosen. The stuff I care about. The stuff that means something, even when it’s messy and stretched and imperfect.
And I’ve realised something simple. When fullness is aligned, it doesn’t just drain you. It actually feeds you.
The early mornings feel like I’m showing up for myself. The driving feels like investment in the people I love. Even the chaos, feels like life happening, not life going wrong. Not all the time. Obviously. Sometimes it’s just traffic and crumbs and everyone needing something at once.
But overall? It feels nutrient-dense. Not spacious. Not tidy. Not efficient. Just, full of what matters.
And maybe overwhelm isn’t about too much. Maybe it’s about too much that doesn’t belong. Because a full life that’s aligned feels completely different.
So I’m not trying to make it smaller right now. I’m just trying to stay with what matters. This phase won’t last forever. One day the car will be quieter. The calendar lighter. The requests fewer.
And while that season will have its own beauty, I don’t want to spend this one wishing it away. And while this season is full, it feels fulfilling too.
Huge love,
