Is talk therapy dead?

Hello gorgeous soul,

“Is talk therapy dead?”

A friend recently asked me this after watching a reel that suggested talk therapy doesn't work. (She knows my work involves talking—but not in the old-school therapist-on-a-couch kind of way.)

Here are my thoughts...

Yes, a lot of "talk therapy" can feel like a couch, a clipboard and a nodding therapist that leaves you wondering if you just paid to trauma-dump.

What I do involves no couches or clipboards.

It’s not about venting or fixing.

It’s about guiding you back into relationship with your own voice. Using words to uncover, reconnect, and build deeper relationship with our inner world.

Because HOW you TALK is everything.

Talking isn't just yapping about your problems. It's learning to hear yourself. To name what lives under the surface. To say what you actually mean. To promote deeper connection and understanding.

Talking, like listening, is a skill. And when done with intention, it’s a game changer for how we relate to ourselves and others. You feel seen, heard, and understood.

The way we speak matters.

We talk all day anyway. We might as well get good at it. Because the words you use either limit you or liberate you.

So no, talk therapy isn’t dead. But it is evolving and it needs a rebrand.

Welcome to the version of talk therapy that actually works!!

Conscious. Clear. Connected. Human.

We talk to get through the day—so let’s make it an art, not an afterthought.

What’s your thoughts on “Talk Therapy”?

Talk to me!!

Big Love ❤️
